Overall, China's auto production and sales in the first quarter of this year were 4.7842 million and 4.7927 million, down slightly to -1.8% and -3.4% from the same period last year.
According to the analysis of the relevant person in charge of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the production and sales of automobiles in the first quarter fell slightly year-on-year, mainly due to the high base in the same period last year. In addition, China's auto exports have continued to grow steadily this year. In the first three months of this year, China's auto exports reached 191,300 units, a year-on-year increase of 21%.
It is worth noting that at the end of March this year, the inventory of Chinese auto companies was 733,300 vehicles, an increase of 41,000 vehicles from the end of February, but a decrease of 12,300 vehicles from the end of 2011. The China Association of Automobile Manufacturers said automakers' inventories were at normal levels.
